Margo
Lion is a theater producer whose career has spanned thirty years of both
not-for-profit and commercial theater in New York City. She has worked
with many of the pre-eminent theater artists of our time including: Tony
Kushner, David Mamet, Michael Mayer, Arthur Miller, Jack O’Brien,
August Wilson and George C. Wolfe. Her productions include: Hairspray,
Radio Golf, Caroline, Or Change, Elaine Stritch At Liberty, The Crucible,
Seven Guitars, The Cryptogram, Angels In America, Jelly's Last Jam,
Frankie And Johnnie In The Claire De Lune, and The Garden Of Earthly Delights.
Lion's productions have garnered twenty Tony Awards, four Olivier
Awards and one Pulitzer Prize.
Lion is an adjunct professor and a member of the Dean's Council
at the NYU Tisch School for the Arts. She serves on the Board of Directors
of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids and on the advisory boards of the
Baltimore Young Women's Leadership School, The Alliance for Inclusion
in the Arts, PUBLICOLOR, and the Harvard Public Diplomacy Collaborative.
